What to include in the written scope
Appliance condition is one of the biggest price variables. Share photos if grease or carbon build-up is heavy, and confirm whether a second oven, grill or barbecue needs work.
Common inclusions
- Oven interior and accessible door glass
- Removable racks and trays
- Cooktop and control surfaces
- Splashback around cooking zone
- Reachable rangehood exterior
- Filters where safe and agreed
What needs separate confirmation
A useful quote identifies exclusions and practical limitations as clearly as inclusions. That is especially important when access, surface condition or specialist treatment could change the work.
- Dismantling sealed door glass
- Repairing damaged enamel or elements
- Removing permanent carbon damage
- Moving hardwired or unsafe appliances
- Unquoted barbecue or second-oven work
How to get a more accurate quote
Provide the suburb, property type, room counts, planned date, access details and clear photos of anything heavily soiled or hard to reach. Attach the relevant condition-report or agent-checklist pages if available.
Before the appointment
Remove belongings from the agreed work areas, keep water and electricity available and confirm parking, lifts, keys and the handover deadline. Tell the provider about delicate finishes, existing damage or areas that should not be treated.
After the agreed work
Walk through the property against the written inclusions while access is still available. Photograph the completed areas, keep the invoice and raise any scope question promptly with the provider.
