What to include in the written scope
Do not assume carpet treatment is included in a general vacate clean. Ask for it as a separate line so the method, room count, drying time and treatment limits are visible.
Common inclusions
- Room count and approximate sizes confirmed
- Pre-vacuum expectations clarified
- General hot-water extraction where suitable
- Spot-treatment limitations explained
- Drying and access timing discussed
- Invoice description kept clear
What needs separate confirmation
A useful quote identifies exclusions and practical limitations as clearly as inclusions. That is especially important when access, surface condition or specialist treatment could change the work.
- Permanent stains, fading or fibre damage
- Guaranteed removal of odours or pet contamination
- Moving heavy furniture unless arranged
- Specialist rug or delicate-fibre treatment
- Same-day dry time in every condition
How to get a more accurate quote
Provide the suburb, property type, room counts, planned date, access details and clear photos of anything heavily soiled or hard to reach. Attach the relevant condition-report or agent-checklist pages if available.
Before the appointment
Remove belongings from the agreed work areas, keep water and electricity available and confirm parking, lifts, keys and the handover deadline. Tell the provider about delicate finishes, existing damage or areas that should not be treated.
After the agreed work
Walk through the property against the written inclusions while access is still available. Photograph the completed areas, keep the invoice and raise any scope question promptly with the provider.
